Does iPod 15GB works with usb 1.1?

Hi, does the 15gb ipod works with usb 1.1 (at all) with the apple usb
cable?

I do not need someone to tell me how easy it is to install a firewire
or usb 2.0 adapter. This is a gift. ;)

I just want to know if it works or not. I was reading the manual and
it says it requires usb 2.0 and usb 1.1 is not supported?
