By that I mean back up your dang domain.sites2 file, which is what it
stotes all your handiwork in.

It is located here (sans uppercase nuance):

user/library/application support/iweb/domain.sites2

Macfixit ( http://www.macfixit.com/ ) says, among other things:

iWeb 2.0.3: Does not fix publishing issues, backup domain files

Backup your Domain files Before attempting to apply the iWeb 2.0.3
update, make a copy of this folder ~/Library/Application
Support/iWeb/Domain. iWeb Updates, including this one, may delete or
make inoperable parts of your stored Web site(s). Saving this file can
mean the difference between losing or maintaining your current site
data.

fortunately, I did not have this problem upgrading to 2.0.3 but when
shifting from 1.0 to iWeb 2.0, it mucked up all my sites.
this domain.sites file is a complete stupidity to store web sites, why
not store them in folders of HTML files like many other web editor.
Is there any software to convert html files in domain files as iWeb
doesn't have an import command for that which would be useful.

I've heard of those who had problems. I've never had any such problem.

Because users will "make them better" by moving them around and jerking
with them? I assume it doesn't produce html until you've requested and
export. That is, it doesn't *live* in html proper. A guess on my part.

That would really be nice. I'd really like it if they'd let us modify
their templates--permanently--as well. There are 3rd part progammers
that have figured out a way to do that, but I hate to be using that
stuff.
