Yes, I've heard various rumours that the height has increased from 1U to
2U or even 3U to accommodate the extra heat sinks, etc, needed for
cooling a pair of G5's. I've also heard that the G5 XServes are ready to
ship, but it seems unlikely that Apple would hold them back any longer
now that OS X 10.3 Server is actually shipping, so that may well have
been incorrect.
Maybe there will be an announcement at MW SF in Jan, but it now seems
unlikely we'll hear anything before then.
