Post subject: jumper for Applevision 1710 CRT video board reconfiguration
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>hardware>video (more info?)

I'd like to reconfigure the CRT video board parameters of an Applevision
1710 monitor with Apple's Display Service Utility (DSU) software.
Apple's DSU requires that a jumper (Apple part number 076-0529) be
placed in a 4-pin connector labelled BV1.
Apple docs indicate that only 2 pins need to be shortcut, but does not
say which.
I could try all 6 combinations but am afraid of damaging my monitor, so
any information is *really* welcome.
To have a common pin numbering (I don't know the official numbering), I
have numbered them from the corner to the center. If this is not clear,
please have a look at the picture of the CRT video board with its 4-pin
BV1 connector at :

BTW, pin 2 is the ground.
Thank you very much for your help.
