Bill - I looked at that article along with a number of others, because I
was sure I should know the answer to this query. That article isn't
relevant because it relates to XP Home edition, which doesn't include the
remote desktop feature.
I doubt that this message is mac-specific--if it is, I won't know the
answer. The usual causes are not being an administrator or the
administrator level account not having a password.
MrMac's message seems to cover both those issues. Next thing to look at
might be oddball policy settings on the XP end. Posting in
microsoft.public.windowsxp.work_remotely might get good support for this
error message.
