Cant log on to Windows XP pro via Remote desktop

Bill - I looked at that article along with a number of others, because I
was sure I should know the answer to this query. That article isn't
relevant because it relates to XP Home edition, which doesn't include the
remote desktop feature.

I doubt that this message is mac-specific--if it is, I won't know the
answer. The usual causes are not being an administrator or the
administrator level account not having a password.

MrMac's message seems to cover both those issues. Next thing to look at
might be oddball policy settings on the XP end. Posting in
microsoft.public.windowsxp.work_remotely might get good support for this
error message.

I do hope, for your sake, that this isn't a valid email address that you've
used--unfortunately, the Swen virus (and miscellaneous spammers) harvest
valid email addresses from NNTP servers on which these groups are carried,
and such an address may receive an increased amount of virus-laden email as
