I need a simple, cheap, and non-Epson printer for my PB2400.
It will probably print 1-2 pages once a month.
Small foot print will help.

Any recommendation?

Thanks

Tho

Anything by Canon or HP, or you could get an HP Laserwriter pretty cheap
($200 or so on eBay.)

Kind Regards,

Are you sure? The PB2400 has a mac serial bus, and I remember having a
hard time looking for a printer for it even when it was relatively new.
Shouldn't have thrown that thing out...

If you don't mind an inkjet I have an Apple Stylewriter II that is quite
small and works well using Canon black ink.

Check out CUPS (ie <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://127.0.0.1:631" target="_blank">http://127.0.0.1:631</a> and <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.cups.org" target="_blank">http://www.cups.org</a> ) look
at serial-to-usb bridges, etc

the laserwriter IInt is a localtalk printer with 2 mb (not upgradable)
memory.

if the print engine works well, the best way to connect it is to replace
the IInt controller board (undo the 2 screws and slide it out) with a
IIg controller, which will give you a faster rip, upgradable memory, and
(appletalk) ethernet connectivity.
