Post subject: got a mac plus and a mac classic this weekend at a garage sale
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>system, others (more info?)

for $1.50 each; they still boot but i don't have any disks (esp. boot
disks or system disks) to use with them. anyone know where i can d/l
an image of what i need on a windows based PC and create a disk from
there?

it does.

hold down commnand-option-x-o and turn on the computer.

Indeed. In working condition they go for $7 to as much as $15 around
here.

Protean-

The main obstacle is Apple's dual file structure, containing two "forks".
The PC can only handle one of these, so information needed by the
Macintosh is lost.

As someone mentioned, your best bet may be to find a local Macintosh User
Group. There may be a way to create the needed disks on a PC, but it
could be a very frustrating process.

You might mention in what part of the world you are located. Someone may
live nearby, or know of a User Group in your area. I know of three such
groups in central Florida if that would help.
