Hi,

I've just downloaded this to try after switching to an apple -
however, it only seems to work in the user account that was to
download it - in any other there is just an error message "cannot be
run from a read only volume".

Any ideas why this is, or if it can be fixed? I've checked the
permissions and have everything set to read and write.

Cheers,
Iain

Did you copy the test drive to your Applications folder or are you trying to
run from the mounted image?

FYI...

You can install applications in the root Applications folder and they are
available for all users on the computer. If you create an Applications
folder in your User's folder and install there, then the application is
available for only that user.

Welcome to Macs.

Where is the application installed? I assume it iis in the default
Applications location. (I will add that mine is in a sub-folder of this
without any problems)

When you run the prog there should be a folder created called "Microsoft User
Data" in the user's Documents folder. Each user that runs the app should get
one of these created. Have you checked to see the settings for the user's
documents folder? If so, sorry for bothering you, and I will pass you on to
someone with more knowledge than me!
