Post subject: mac print via Windows 2000 server
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>printing (more info?)

I have several OS 9 Macintosh and Windows 2000 computers on a network with
a Windows 2000 server.
I used to have a network printer, but now I have to use an old LaserWriter
Select 360 attached directly to the server computer.
Printing from the server and the window 2000 computers works fine, but
when I use the Macintosh computers I get into trouble. If I avoid using
PostScript fonts unknown to the printer I can print out from Word and
Outlook Express without problems but printing from Internet Explorer gives
me 20-30 pages of funny looking characters (just one or two lines for each
page) even with all PostScript fonts removed from the computer, and so
does printing from FileMaker (sometimes) and Quark (sometimes).

Any help will be appreciated
