I'm trying to come up with a more effective way of using email. I use
it extensively in multiple locations, so I'm using IMAP (instead of
POP). Suppose that I'd like to separate out some of my email as
needing some kind of action. I can do this by creating an "Action"
folder and and putting those emails into that folder. But Mail.app
doesn't show emails in folders (other than INBOX) unless I specifically
choose those folders. I'd like these emails to both belong to these
folders and still be visible "at the top level." Any suggestions for
how I might manage this?

TIA,
-Lotofun

Best you can do is a smart folder -- which will show all emails based
on criteria you set up. Smart folders currently *have* to be at the
top level.

And will not currently show you a count of the messages... Reported bug.
