I've been using Retrospect's Duplicate function to maintain a duplicate
boot drive and a duplicate of my active media drive. Retrospect has
always operated flawlessly until recently. It still works on my media
drive but it chokes on my boot drive now.

Until this issues gets resolved, i need to do nightly syncs of my boot
drive.

I've heard of Carbon Copy Cloner, and seen many apps on Version Tracker
that claim to perform this function.

What is the simplest, most reliable app to do a nightly sync so that i
can maintain my boot drive in case of a drive failure?

Thanks

ed

My recommendation for "cloning" software is SuperDuper! which has both a good
reputation for accuracy and a simple to understand interface. SuperDuper! is
free if all you need is to do a clone of one drive to another. It is $30 if
you want to do "smart backups" that significantly reduce the time to clone as
only the absolute necessary changes to the backup drive are made.

Second vote here for SuperDuper! from an ex-Retrospect user. Works
flawlessly, seamlessly and invisibly to maintain a bootable backup of my
boot drive.
