I got Office 2008 Home & Student Edition through Microsoft's Super Suite Deal. I chose the option to receive the 3 licenses for the Home & Student Edition + Microsoft Expression Media.

I received Office today, but no Expression Media. Anyone else not receive Expression Media or is it suppose to ship separately? There was nothing in the box except the software - not even a packing slip.

The Super Suite deal was for *either* the H&S edition (with three
licenses) *or* the Special Media Edition (with one license and
Expression Media). Not both.

No, that's not true. I still have the redemptiom form. The choices were:

OPTION ONE: Send me Office 2008 for Mac Special Media Edition (includes 1 license for business or personal use, also includes Exchange Server support , additional Automator Actions plus Microsoft Expression Media for Mac)

OPTION TWO: Send me Office 2008 for Mac Home & Student Edition (includes 3 licenses for home or non-commercial use only; does NOT include Exchange Server support or Automator Actions) + Microsoft Expression Media for Mac

Is it really necessary to post in HTML?

You're right - I was misremembering.

I don't know how the fulfillment will work, but I would call the
too-free number on the form.

Hi Mitch -

I honestly can't say for certain, but my guess would be that since the
"bundle" is not a standard offering that the two packages may be shipped
separately... To my way of thinking that's a huge mistake, but then again
there are lots of things I have my own ideas on:-)

Unfortunately we don't have an immediate answer here as nobody in the
newsgroup works for MS and offers of this nature are often handled by a
third party anyway. I'd suggest you contact MS directly, but check back here
just in case anyone monitoring the group has anything to offer.

Thanks for the reply. You and I think alike - so much easier to ship them together, not to mention it would be more reasonable financially since I had to pay Microsoft only $6.99 for s&h!

I have already emailed Microsoft, but their support only answers Monday - Friday so I'll post back when I get a reply. I was just curious to know if anyone else has the same issue or if I'm just getting special treatment : )

I received an email from Microsoft today. They apologized for their error and said they would be sending a new product to me, which would include Expression Media.

Lucky me, I get to send them back my "original, incomplete product" after I receive a pre-paid label in the mail and then will at some point have a credit issued to my bank within 30 days. I guess that means they're going to charge me again. Oh well. At least I'll have all the software.

Mitch, what email did you use please? I've had no luck with the phone...just the runaround. Out of curiosity, had you already opened the box?
Thanks.

I sent the email to officemacTG.DeleteThis@one.microsoft.update.com (found it on the redemption form.)

I received an email yesterday that my new order had shipped, but I'm afraid it's going to be the same thing as what I already received - the description is the same - OFFICE MAC HOME STUDENT 2008 EN DVD (Part No: GZA-00042).

Yes, I have already opened the first box and installed it. I had thought maybe the Expression Media was bundled into the Home & Student version since I didn't get a separate DVD for it.

Yeah, once Sherjo gets on the case, things start moving.

Even Steve Ballmer is terrified of her :-)

Cheers

> Mitch and all: thanks for posting this. We are working closely with the fulfillment house to find out what the issue is - we have received some other reports of this, and will resolve it as quickly as possible. What you should get is the H&S edition and a DVD for Expression Media if that is what you chose. We will have an update on this newsgroup next week when we have more info. Hi. I too chose option 2 but never received my DVD for Expression Media. What should I do next so that I get my copy?
