How can i move objects in tiny increments? I choose an object and move
it but it jumps in increments that are too large. I also choose an
object and move it using the arrow keys but it still moves in
increments that are too big. I can't align objects properly because
of this problem. In other programs, such as Appleworks, I can move
objects in much smaller increments.

Hi,

You can accomplish this by holding down the Option key while you press the
arrow keys.

Sometimes it helps to increase the zoom setting, too.

I take it this is PPt 2004? You can also go to the Draw button (Drawing
Toolbar) & select Snap> To Grid to turn the grid off altogether.

Option + arrow keys work in powerpoint 2004 but not powerpoint 2008. Is there someway to move an object in small increments in the latest version of powerpoint?

In PPt 2008 use the Control key instead of Option.
