I'm about to purchase a ViewSonic VA1912wb, which is a 16:10 ratio LCD
monitor that runs at a resolution 1440 by 900. I have an older Dual
500 Mhz PowerMac G4 (GIgabit Ethernet) that has it's original ATI 128
Rage Pro AGP card with 16mb of RAM. I'm fairly sure that the card
won't support the optimal resolution. I'm fairly confident that the
GeForce 4 MX card from a 2002 QuickSilver Mac would because the first
generation 17" iMacs ran at that specific resolution, but I don't have
one of those lying around. I'm curious if a GeForce 2 MX card pulled
from a 2001 QuickSilver Mac would though. Anyone have an older
QuickSilver with the Geforce 2 MX video card and run it at a resolution
of 1440 by 900?

I don't have a monitor of that resolution, but the Geforce 2 MX does
support 1600 X 1024
