Post subject: osx mail question

if i access my mail via imap, how do i tell the remote server to delete my
mail once i've downloaded it? is it also the same setting in pop?

Create a folder that's stored on your Mac, and move the messages to that
folder. Standard folders like Inbox and Trash are always kept
synchronized with the server, so those messages will not be deleted from
the server.

Mail app question - Is there any way to get this program to leave the original window open when replying to a message instead of closing it all the time? As soon as you hit the reply button, it closes the message to which you are responding.
