Sorry for disappearing on you all, I got drawn off into an A-10
article... I'll be asking for pictures from that shortly :-)

Oh geez, you have no idea how difficult it is. And they keep changing
the requirements so months later you get messages saying they'll
deleted it unless you do some magic incantation which isn't documented
in the message or anything it links to.

Trust me on this one - if you value your sanity, just e-mail them to
me. Can you see my e-mail here? If not it's my full name with a dot,
at gmail.

And please, everyone reading this, read the article I've put up on the
wiki and hack away at anything that's wrong, innaccurate or missing.
And any links to external sources of information would be useful to.
Or you could just post here, I'm happy to edit it up.

Evening all. Have a packet of peanuts with that beer Michael?

I've been reduced to playing First Eagles for PC on my iMac, couldn't
be faffed with installing sheepshaver to try and get some of my old
games up and running again.

Only one? Well, no matter. Although I dearly love peanuts (or most any kind
of nuts for that matter), a recent tendency toward diverticulitis has made
them off-limits for me, alas.

I bought a Deluxe Tele last year...amongst others. Nine guitars in the
house at present.

I had a Tele way back in 1969. Can't say I liked it much, but that was just
me and the fact that it wasn't suitable for my playing style. And besides, I
never did get a decent amp for it, so that was a handicap.

I bought an American Deluxe ash one - the SCN pickups in it really scream.

Bought a lot of stuff last year - about six guitars, a bunch of effects
including a tape echo, and a Carvin V3 full stack. And I'm in the
process of putting my recording studio back together and upgrading it to
full digital...I'm rockin' now.

I thought I saw a mention of a Strat over on uk.music.guitar :-)

Bravo young man, I still love my Honey to bits, although recently I've
been having some fun with a Squier Tele that I got (brand new!) from
eBay for 35 quid, including P&P. I stuck in a bid not expecting to get
it and did.
No 2 son has also been bitten by the guitar bug now and has a really
nice LP copy and a cheapish Laney all valve combo I got him in the
Summer. I'm sure his flat mates at Uni appreciate him practicing in
the wee sma' hours. He's also built himself a nice Strat out of a load
of assorted bits and pieces he got off eBay, but he prefers his LP.
I'll need to search him before he goes back to Uni or else I might be
missing some guitars...

Believe it or not, I've taken to eating the odd handful of peanuts as
a natural way to lower my cholesterol... hang on <rustle, rustle> Yep,
meta-analysis in the "Journal of Nutrition", October 2005 showed that
"In three studies where participants ate 50 to 100g of almonds a day
their total cholesterol decreased by two to 16 percent and LDL
cholesterol by 2 to 19 percent, compared to those on a control diet.
The same was true in two peanut studies (consumption of 35 to 68g per
day), one pecan study (72g per day) and four walnut studies (40 to 84g
per day). The results for macadamia nuts (50 to 100g per day) were
"less convincing".

Overall, they concluded that eating between around 50 and 100 g (1.5
to 3.5 servings) of nuts five or more times a week, as part of an
overall diet with total fat content making up around 35 percent of
energy and high in mono- and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids may
significantly reduce total and LDL cholesterol.

One does enjoy the odd bit of nutty research.

Eek! I just realized that it wasn't a Tele but an Esquire. No wonder I
didn't care much for it.
