We have just gotten an iMAC for our son, who has a
learning disability in
reading. Thinking since MAC is graphic it would
make it easier for him
to use. But since I've been a MS user since 1986
I know nothing about
MAC and of course need to learn so I can help him.
Thanks in advance
for the help.

First thing is that, for some reason, Mac users tend to be sensitive to
capitalization (myself included, obviously). "MAC" refers to "Media
Access Control" - a hardware ID for each network device. "Mac" refers to
Macintosh. No biggie, but it helps to know the lingo.
