I just got two ppc7200/90 systems (sans monitors) for $50.
Includes keyboards, mice, and a zip drive!
One of them is dead.
I plug it in, and when I hit the power button on the case, or on the
keyboard, the power light blinks -once-
Only once unless I turn off the power strip then back on, or un-plug and
plug it back in.
Does this sound like the clock battery or the power supply?
Absolutley no sounds from any drives or power supply fan.
If it's a power supply, where should I look first for one?
Many thanks everyone!!..........DaveC.........

Why not swap the battery, then power supply from the good one you have?
It would isolate the problem.

battery then the power supply. sounds like work-

This kind of thing is typically a process of elimination, but swapping
the battery and PS really isn't that difficult or time consuming
(unless the battery is soldered in... do you have a multimeter?)

Could be a short circuit somewhere and the PS goes into protection.

Try by disconnecting the motherboard etc.

Well, I can give you a definite NOT on the battery. Only a handful of
Macs will not start if the battery is dead, and the 7200 is not on that
list.

Hmm, thanks for the tips. I'll try the power supply, and the battery
since i'm in there. If the power supply starts up while not connected to
the mainboard, the mainboard must be toast. Or if its the power supply,
how much, where can I get one. -to see if it's worth it.
The barrel battery is not soldered in, so that's easy.
I'll keep in touch.......thanks again.......DaveC......<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
