remote itunes access

I have itunes and all of it's music files loaded on a mac with its
sound output connected directly to my stereo. Is it possible to
access itunes from my remote airport connected OS X G4 Powerbook and
control which songs are played on my stereo? I'm not familiar with mac
remote application access tools/techniques.
