Matt's given you an answer to your immediate problem, but other things
to take away from this experience include:
Don't use anything with Norton in the name.
Don't take at face value ignorant, no matter how well-meaning,
suggestions to clean up viruses on your machine.
It's worth noting that even though his mail service claimed it had found
a virus, the actual reported issue was not confirmed viral but merely
suspicious.
