Post subject: safari 3 downloading problem

When i download linked files, like the free loops at http://www.icompositions.com/tools/category.php?cid=1 ...for example, the download manager downloads them as ".php.download" instead of ".dmg". I went on my dell and downloaded the loops successfully as .dmg, just to make sure it wasn't the site. So..this leads me to believe that something in safari 3 ,on my mac, is screwed up and causing files to download as ".php.download" instead of their intended file extension. The file names are also changed....for example, "freeloops.dmg" will download as "attachment.php.download" when i click on it.......ne help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time!

Make the switch from IE to Safari - I'd like to do a little poll. Who here uses Safari as their default browser on their Mac? I've done a bit of statistic searching, but only come up with ones from Feb 2003. Does anyone know of any up-to-date stats on Safari usage? Thanks sheds, Paul.
