Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>office>word (more info?)

Hi All,

I just upgraded to OS X 10.3 (Panther) and my Word has started to use
processor time while it is in the background doing nothing. This
happened before while I was on OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), but I installed a
patch from the Microsoft site for Word and it took care of the
problem. Since I upgraded to Panther, the problem has resumed. Does
anyone know of another download patch or a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ethan,

AFAIK there's no update for Panther at this time.

Please take a moment to report your observation to Microsoft. Be sure to
include system details. Once they have been alerted to the problem they can
work on a way to fix it. Use this URL or the feedback option on Word's help
menu.
