I'm a new mac user. I got a the small mac book for starters. I
thought I had to download the mac os cd's that came with the LT and
now I can't get it to stop. It keeps asking me to install disc 2 and
when I do it says there was an error and it wants me to start over.
The "installer" at the top is not showing "quit installer" in bold.
I've already ran through this over & over for the past 2 days. I
can't figure out how to make it stop.

As you normally force quit a macos application.
Please see your macos welcome book on details.

OK I was just kidding,
press Apple+Option+Esc.
Select the misbehaving program, click Force Quit.
