Dear friends:

Has someone tested WinXP SP3 (Beta) under BootCamp or VmWare Fusion?

Yes, I know that it is a Beta product up to now (a Release Candidate
2, RC2), but when it gets its release date, it will be (automatically)
installed in our WinXP machines under the Windows Update scheme.

So, has someone tested it in a Mac environment (BootCamp or VmWare
Fusion)? Are problems expected for us when it will be released?

The same question applies for SP1 for Vista.

Of course problems are to be expected. You may be running it on a Mac,
but it's still Windows.

Re: Vista SP1 and VMware Fusion:

Juan:

Vista SP1 runs great via VMware Fusion v1.1.1 in OS X 10.5.2 on my Santa
Rosa MacBook with 4 GB of memory.

Dear Juan,

Yes, Windows XP SP3 works under a Mac (intel based) environment
through VMWare Fusion although VMWare does not allow you to
"accelerate 3d graphics" with this service pack. Basically, SP3 works
fine using VMWare but is not allowed to fully utilize the graphics
capabilities of your Mac's video card, which means you may not be able
to run new games.

About boot camp and SP3, I myself want to find out if they work with
each other which is how I found your question on google : )

Cheers ; )
