Can I use a universal remote with a TV tuner card in a 6500?

For the last 8 years, I've been using my PowerMac 6500 as a TV set
(among other things, like a backup server). However, the remote that
came with the card is getting worn out. Is it possible to buy a
universal remote and use it to replace it, and if so, what codes would I
use on said remote? I can't find the manual for the TV Tuner card in the
box with all the other manuals for the 6500. I know it was an Apple
brand card.

The TV and remote are one of the biggest reasons I'm still using the
6500 daily.
