Hi,
One of the pitfalls of Usenet is that when you post a message without
masking your real e-mail address, you leave yourself open to potential abuse
as a result of spam-harvesting. Your particular case of receiving sizeable,
seemingly bounced e-mails is not the norm, but I would concur that the
situation came about as a result of your initial Usenet post.
Firstly, you really should use a masked e-mail address when sending future
messages through Usenet (look at my e-mail address as an example).
In terms of the current spam issue, you can set Tools > Accounts > Mail >
[your account] > Options only to download partially messages above a certain
size. That will limit the amount of download bandwidth you need to get
through in order to receive these mails. You could then look at Tools >
Rules to set up suitable antispam rules for your mail account.
Another alternative method, again found in Tools > Accounts > Mail > [your
account] > Options is to allow "online access" which lets you see the
contents of your mailbox (through a new folder on the left of the screen)
before you actually download your messages. That way, you can kill the spam
and just download the messages you wish to keep.
Hope that makes sense, give it a try and see what happens,
