Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>printing, others (more info?)

Hi, I just finished networking my Windows 2000 machine with an iBook running
MacOSX; internet and file sharing work fine, but I can't seem to print from
my Windows 2000. The printer is physically connected to the iBook and
prints fine from there. I'm able to see the printer from Win2000 and can
install the correct drivers, but am unable to print anything, producing an
error "Print failed. Operation could not be completed." Print Sharing and
File Sharing is enabled on the mac, so I don't think that's a problem. I've
seen some suggestions to install the drivers for an Apple Postscript Printer
instead of the actual printer being used, in my case a Lexmark X5150,
however when I attempt to change the driver, win2000 says that it cannot
load that driver. Any advice would be appreciated.
As a side question, does anyone have any experience networking scanners,
since the X5150 is a scanner as well.
Thanks
Aaron
