windows media player 10 for xp and sansa sync or lack ther..

So i have a 512 mb sansa, and a dell dimension 2400 and windows xp pro
service pack 2. This is the third time installing xp pro on my computer
(spyware suxs). up untill this point my sansa has linked with windows media
player no prob, the os even auto plays the mp3 player and the mp3 player
works as it currently has songs on it. but as soon as i click sync with
windows media player and it opens, "WMP" says there is no devices attached, i
have tryed to 5 pin usb cables so thats not it. dose anyone know what i can
do?

p.s. winamp has simmiler problem, dose not come up although no error messege
like WMP
