wmv video file will not open on my mac?

Some one please help... I have been on this issue for a week now, and i am
going bananas!

I have exported all my movies to .wmv files for viewing pleasure. It works
great on my PC, but on my mac the media player opens but then a message comes
on saying: " Cannot open the file. Verify that the path and filename are
correct and try again." - what is that all about? I have Windows Media
Player 9 installed on my Mac Os 10.2.1.

Is this a codec issue and how do i fix it?

It should be 10.2.8.... update time ;-))

There are several possibilities. You should check the FAQ:

It could be a permission issue, or even more likely, an
"un-conventional" charater in the file path (most likely the name of the
drive).
